Summary
Stresemann was a pretentious man who, in 1923 became Chancellor in addition to Germany’s Foreign minister. He immediately tackled the issue of the Occupation of the Ruhr by stopping Germany’s resistance. In addition, he attempted to solve the problem of hyperinflation by establishing the new Retenmark as the currency.
