Summary
In Washington 1921-1922, a conference was held for military purposes. Nine nations were in attendance: Portugal, France, United States, Japan, Belgium, China, Britain, Italy and the Netherlands. Interestingly, President Warren G. Harding called the conference to order despite the U.S.’s choice of isolationism.
